Duplicating Templates in QuickBooks

How to apply an invoice template's format to an estimate, sales receipt, purchase order, sales order, or credit memo (does not apply to statements).

  1. Design an invoice with the layout, color, fonts, etc, to match your company's colors, logo, etc.
  2. From the List menu select Templates.
  3. Highlight the designed Invoice template.
  4. From the Template pull-up menu (bottom left), select Duplicate.
  5. Select the desired type of template and click OK (note: Statements have to be designed manually or you can download statements template from the Template pull-up menu > Download Templates).
  6. Double-click to edit the newly created template. In the Additional Customization area, make any necessary changes (title, amount due, etc) to convert the invoice template to the applicable template.
  7. We recommend marking inactive any templates that you will not use.
